Safer Recruitment

Please be advised that if you are invited for interview at Wixams Academy you will need to produce all of the following documents as evidence of your identity and your right to work in in the UK:

  • Passport. If you are unable to produce this please bring the long version of your UK Birth Certificate
  • If you are a non-EU worker, proof of your right to work in the UK
  • A UK photocard and counterpart Driving Licence or EU Identity Card
  • Proof of your home address, ie a utility bill or a bank statement issued within the last 3 months
  • Proof of your NI number, ie a P45, P60 or letter from HMRC
  • For teachers: proof of your qualifications and QTS - please bring your original certificates.

You will also be asked to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check formerly known as a CRB check.

Lettings Officer

Under the direction of the Business Manager, carry out lettings, ensuring they are appropriately serviced in accordance with the school’s Lettings Policy. To undertake opening of the school and monitoring the premises, preparing for and dealing with the lettings and external users of the building during periods of hire, cleaning of areas used, management of parking and security of the building.

Site Agent

To be responsible for all aspects of the site management of Wixams Academy and Wixams Tree Primary including a wide range of duties and responsibilities connected with the fabric and grounds of the two schools. This includes security, cleanliness, porterage, monitoring of contractors, routine maintenance and refurbishment, minor repairs, advising the Principal/Business Manager on suggested improvements to the general school environment and to carry out pre-planned maintenance programmes.

Cover Supervisor

We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic cover supervisor for our expanding Academy. The successful candidate would be responsible for managing classroom behaviour and delivering lesson plans set out by the teacher in the teacher's absence. The role would include covering a range of subjects, so all-round general knowledge would be advantages.
